A Worcester CDI mid way through our full service
Above | You can see the combustion and air sections of the boiler removed. We carry out a deep clean on burners and replace all combustion seals. Combustion gaskets are extremely important for safety. Preventing carbon monoxide escaping from the boiler. This is just one part of the full service we carry out.

“There may be slight process deviations and service parts within manufacturers, models and age, however the general process / principle remains the same…”
Above | The top of the heat exchanger is exposed. The fins are cleaned with a stiff brush first. Then we use a high pressure jet to clear any debris stuck inbetween the fins.
Above | You can see the service door removed exposing the front of this Worcester CDI main heat exchanger. Notice the before image has a build-up of debris on the ribs. This restricts the pull of the fan, limits performance, leads to inefficiency, causes problems with debris in the sump / trap leading to blockages and poor performance. We professionally clean using Worcester’s service tools, and plenty of elbow grease.
Frequently asked questions
How long will the service take?
Our ‘full strip down boiler service’ can take up to 3 hours. We carry all service parts on our van.
Our ‘Standard boiler service’ can take up to 60mins.
Will the service uphold the manufacturer's warranty?
As a ‘gas safe’ registered company specializing in service and repair, our service standard will keep all boiler manufacturers warranties, and extended guarantees up to date, so relax, we got you covered.
Will the water and gas be switched off?
Only to the boiler, not the property. We would never willingly prevent cups of tea being made!! We will isolate the gas and water supply at the boiler only, allowing cookers, toilets, and taps to be used. Unfortunately the hot water and the heating will be interrupted during the service.
Will a full service report be sent?
We will send you a detailed service report electronically and a reminder three weeks before the next service is due.
We will also leave our contact details sticker on the boiler, showing the date serviced and the next recommended service date. If you have the original service book to hand then great, we can fill this in also.
Heating water quality testing

We test your system water for the presence of inhibitor and for turbidity levels on both service options. If there is diluted, reduced, or no inhibitor detected we will offer to treat the system by introducing a Fernox F1 chemical.

If during the heating water health check we find the turbidity levels high we will offer a solution to this also. It may include a system drain down to replace the current water, the installation of a magnetic filter, or a magnacleanse treatment.
